Ekiti, Osun were stolen from PDP - Sambo

Vice President Namadi Sambo and national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Muazu, have tasked candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming Ekiti and Osun States governorship elections to ensure total victory for the party.
Speaking yesterday at the inauguration of the campaign committee for the two elections, Sambo said both Ekiti and Osun States were PDP states before the party’s mandate was stolen
from it.
He tasked the candidate of Ekiti, Ayo Fayose and that of Osun, Senator Iyiola Omisore to work hard in order to reclaim the “stolen mandate.”
The vice President assured that President Goodluck Jonathan would do everything possible to ensure free, fair and credible elections in the two states appealing to the party candidates to carry members of the party along in the scheme of things.
Mu’azu on his part charged the committee for both states to organize and put up good and transparent strategies to succeed in the elections. He tasked the committee to ensure that campaign teams are well put up and campaigns done vigorously in order to succeed.
In his response, the party’s candidate for Ekiti, Ayo Fayose said: “If due process is to be followed, PDP has already won the election” adding that if the PDP wins in the two states, it should consider itself as “winner of the 2015 elections in 2014.”
