Gaya declares interest in Kano guber seat

Senator representing Kano South Senatorial district , Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, yesterday declared his intention to contest for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration was made during the commissioning of a multi million naira ICT center he built for the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)

The senator said he is optimistic of the admiration; support and concern of the media which he said are some of the things that have been encouraging him to return to the Government House in 2015.
He said he occasion of commissioning the ICT center is the right time for making the declaration public.
Gaya noted that; he will not forget the support given to him by the media in 1991 and  listed some of the projects he has executed to better the lives of the people in  the 44 local governments areas of the state to include; construction of 23 health centers, 5000 irrigations walls, 5000 tube wells, 10 solar power boreholes at each LG, skills acquisition centers and Poverty Alleviation Programmes.
He said contesting the gubernatorial seat, is not a do or die affair and pledged to extend hands of friendship to everybody.
