Osun Gov Poll: Omisore accuses Aregbesola of training militants for violence •PDP is jittery —Oyatomi

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, on Sunday raised the alarm that his counterpart in the All Progressive Congress (APC), Governor Rauf Aregbesola is allegedly training militants ahead of the August 9 poll, urging security agencies in the country to closely monitor his activities.
He also alleged that the APC candidate had perfected plot to illegally purchase police uniforms for the militants, observing that the development was part of the desperation of Aregbesola
to win at all costs in the governorship poll.
Omisore, who issued a press statement endorsed by his director of media and strategy, Diran Odeyemi said “we are not unaware of the evil plot of the governor to illegally purchase police uniforms for the many militant groups he has been training ahead of the election. We urgently call on the security agent to probe Aregbesola and call him to order as a matter of urgency.”
In a swift reaction, Osun APC director of publicity, research and strategy, Kunle Oyatomi argued that “if the PDP is absolutely certain about the location where the alleged uniforms are being sewed by the APC, it should not be a media affair. They should take the security officials to the place. Until they can do that, only they themselves will believe what they are saying. Not even the security agencies should take note”.
He affirmed that to accuse “Aregbesola of incitement only shows how jittery the PDP is getting.  Although, they have done everything within their strength to intimidate Aregbesola, the man exudes such confidence that he could tell the PDP in the open, if you come to war with us, with your weaponry, we will disarm you peacefully.”
