The party, in a statement by its interim publicity secretary
in the state, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, described the statement as “reckless outburst from a man desperate to impress his principals on his new job.”
It said the highly ‘factionalised’ opposition PDP is not an alternative to the performing APC-led government in the state.
The statement reads in part: “The factionalised and despised PDP has continued to clutch on the popularity of APC and the Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed-led administration to gain cheap attention. The APC will not trade reckless banalities with Mr Iyiola Oyedepo and his ilk. The APC is busy with impactful projects and programmes for the benefit of the good people of Kwara state.
“The people of Kwara state took the collective resolution to dump PDP due to its glaring failures.”
