Fake APC congress results flood Kaduna

Kaduna State Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has raised an alarm that fake results of the recent ward congresses were issued by party members.

The chairman said the fake results were made available following the inability of State Congress Committee (SCC) to release the genuine results or give reasons for their delaying to do so.
He said: “Regretfully, since the conduct of the ward congresses

on the 14th of April, the state has been left in a state of crippling suspense over its outcome. The SCC has not released a single result, fuelling all manner of speculations. In the ten days of silence, many mischief-makers have now resorted to printing their own result sheets and other documents which declare them as winners. Tensions are rising and the entire exercise is at risk of losing all credibility.”
He said without the ward congress results, local government and state congresses cannot hold, adding: “The party is imperiled by the silence and damage of opportunists who, in spite of their efforts, were unable to stop the ward congresses in most parts of the state.”
He said the combined efforts of saboteurs, the silence of the SCC and massive abuses which attended the ward congresses, were threatening to rob the congresses of any credibility.
