Saleh in a letter to the interim
national chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, dated May 28, said
the party suffers in Jos North as a result of absence of a leader.
The APC leadership had in the wake of the local government congress held on April 16 and 17 nullified that of Jos North following several petitions from some aspirants.
The affected aspirants had submitted that whereas the original delegates for the congress were 434, final results of the congress showed that 700 people voted, hence their call for its cancellation.
In his letter, Saleh said “Presently sir, there is no leadership of the party in Jos North Local Government because all the four aspirants are claiming the chairmanship of the party.”
He said the absence of leadership was because report of the appeal committee set up by the party “has not been made public.”
