Fayose "justify the mandate of the people" says David Mark

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Kola Ologbondian, yesterday, Senator Mark also commended security operatives and the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) for the smooth conduct of the election.

To do so successfully, he urged the governor-elect to bring all interest groups on board and ensure that no section of the state would feel shortchanged or marginalised in the scheme of things.
AMark said; “Your victory at the poll shows that the people of Ekiti State clearly endorsed your candidature. It is therefore your responsibility to reciprocate this mandate by serving them honestly and effectively.
“The people of Ekiti desire to see functional education system, effective health care facilities, infrastructural development as well as employment opportunities for the youths. All these, you can do with a clear focus and direction.”
He also enjoined Fayose to put necessary measures in place to ensure that the State remain united even as he counseled opponents of Fayose in the election to accept the results of the polls in good faith and congratulate him as good sportsmen.
