
Governor Saidu Dakingari
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has resolved to trim down the number of its gubernatorial aspirants towards a hitch free primary election.

Dakingari on media and publicity, Alh Ibrahim Musa Argungu who spoke to
newsmen yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, said the action is part of the
resolutions adopted at a meeting of stakeholders of the party held at
the Council Chamber, Government House, Birnin Kebbi, presided over by
former Minister of Sports, Engineer Bala Bawa Kaoje.
“The meeting is in continuation of consultations among top notchers of the party towards pruning the number of contestants through an amicable understanding.
“Stakeholders of the PDP will reconvene at a later date to concur on strategies of fielding the right gubernatorial candidate to fly the flag of the party in the 2015 general elections,” he said.
Argungu added that, a 14-member committee has been set up for this purpose headed by former Minister of Defence, Dr. Bello Haliru Muhammad ,and is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring the attainment of the cardinal goals of the party in the forthcoming elections.
Other members of the committee are; Bala Bawa Kaoje, Deputy Chairman, Senator Sani Kamba, Alh. Musa Ibrahim Danillela, Alh. Ali Bagudo and the acting state Chairman of the PDP, Alh. Bello Doya.
The rest are; Alh. Bello Alkali, minister of special duties, Alh. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN), Hon. Buhari Bala, Alh. Shehu Yaba Koko, Alh. Musa Umar Yauri, Alh. Riskuwa Dakingari, Alh. Shehu Muhammad Natsoffi and Alh. Arzika Bui who is the secretary of the committee.
