Ogun PDPpromises Jonathan grand reception, plans rally

Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has promised a befitting reception for the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state.
The party, since 2011 after losing to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has been struggling with intra-party crises, a development that culminated in the defection
of some stalwarts loyal to former President Olusegun Obasanjo to the ruling APC in the state.
Arising from a stakeholders’ meeting in Abeokuta, yesterday, leaders of the party assured that the visit of President Jonathan would prove that all is well in the state chapter of the PDP.
The leaders, comprising former state chairman, Joju Fadairo, former House of Representatives members, Apostle Dave Salako, father of the former Speaker of House of Representatives, Chief Alani Bankole, former Assembly members, Barr. Habeeb Ajayi, Pelumi Olusola and Johnson Fatoki all agreed that the party would be stronger ahead of the 2015 elections.
Fadairo said the party members would continue to work together to win back the state.
He said:“There is no more faction. That I can tell you. No crisis.” insurmountable.”
