Wada Commends Jonathan For CNS’ Appointment


   Kogi State governor, Capt. Idris Wada has commended President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for appointing an illustrious son of Kogi State as the chief of naval staff.
Capt. Idris Wada made the commendation when the state government hosted Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin to a state banquet at the Government House, Lokoja, recently.
He commended the new CNS for his contribution to the growth
of the state and security awareness campaign through various programmes aimed at halting security challenges.
Capt. Wada urged the youths of the state to be patient, focused and determined, and emulate Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin, promising to create a conducive atmosphere for those aspiring to achieve their dreams.
In his response, Usman Jibrin promised to justify the confidence reposed in him in line with best global practices and ensure a legacy of a potent, efficient, well trained, sufficiently equipped and highly motivated naval force.
He also promised to reposition NNS Lugard and naval outpost at Idah for their statutory roles of combating crime on the nation’s waterways.
