Waku accuses PDP of campaigning against APC

A chieftain of the  All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Joseph Waku has accused the Peoples Democratic Party of being behind the reports  that the APC was planning to  field a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket
for 2015 elections.
He said the recently circulated news that the APC is floating former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and former Lagos State Governor, Senator Ahmed Tinubu for its 2015 presidential ticket is one of the series of campaigns  of calumny  against the APC  by the PDP.
Waku saidthe APC has not considered the choice of Buhari and Tinubu as its presidential flagbearers in 2015 or even decided anything on the  2015 presidency.
He saidit is unthinkable that the APC would float a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticketin the 21st century, by pairing Buhari with Tinubu.
“The era of a Muslim -Muslim ticket  done in the days of Abiola and Kangibe  is gone. It cannot happen now because Nigerians are very sensitive to such issues now. The PDP carefully crafted that impression after it had unsuccessfully attempted to brand the APC  a Muslim party”, he said.
