Disqualify Letep Dabang says Shagaya

Former interim chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, General John Shagaya, has asked the interim national chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande to disqualify the newly elected state chairman of the party, Letep Dabang saying he is not qualified to contest as state chairman of the party.
Shagaya in a letter addressed to the APC interim national chairman, ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party, alleged that Dabang alongside Jock Alamba, the party’s national ex officio had been indicted by a committee of the party.

He said the new leadership as now constituted undermines and excludes the legacy parties as the emergence of the state chairman was masterminded by a seating senator of Labour Party.
He alleged that Dabang is an employee of the said LP sitting Senator anda  legislative aide in the National Assembly.
“The said sitting senator is soon to decamp to PDP. This position if allowed to pass through, the strength and followership of the APC in the state could be compromised in the near future,” he said.
Shagaya also accused Alamba of using members of the PDP to serve as delegates from Jos South, BarkinLadi and Ryom local government areas of the state while also accusing Ambassador Yahaya Kwande of disbursing funds allegedly from a potential presidential aspirant to influence changes in delegates’ lists.
