Members not committed to PDP will not be tolerated - Muazu

National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has warned members not committed to working in line with the philosophy and constitution of the party to desist, saying their actions will not be tolerated.
He said the party was committed to promoting the principles of equity, oneness and internal democracy.
Receiving a delegation of Akwa Ibom State PDP Executive Committee in Abuja, Wednesday, Muazu blamed some of the party’s problems on its size, adding that PDP is the only political party that has deepened democracy in Nigeria.
The chairman appealed to party members and leaders to always cooperate with whoever emerges winner of its primary election at any level, stressing that every member should be given equal treatment in recognition of the fact that only God bestows position of power on whom He wishes.
He said: “We should believe in God and know that power comes from God. If He gives you in our party, nobody can stop it because there is internal democracy in our party.”
Mu’azu expressed his optimism that God would give Nigeria’s political leaders the wisdom and strength to curtail the present security challenges.
Earlier, Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman, Mr. Paul Ekpu, who led the delegation, said the visit was meant to present a communiqué drafted at the end of the state PDP leadership meeting held on April 22 to Mu’azu.
He lauded the achievements of Mu’azu within his short stay in office as PDP national chairman, adding that Governor Godswill Akpabio has transformed the state chapter of the party.
He assured that the state would remain a PDP controlledstate.
