Jonathan to receive Nasarawa deputy governor, Ewuga into PDP

Nasarawa State Deputy Governor Dameshi Barau Luka, has confirmed that President Goodluck Jonathan would be in Lafia to receive defectors from other parties into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Luka said those that defected to the PDP, including himself, would be formally
received by the President.
He spoke to newsmen after a brief meeting at the PDP secretariat in Lafia, disclosing that a committee headed by Senator Suleiman Adokwe  has been set up to coordinate arrangements to receive Jonathan in the state on May 10.
He said the rally is “spiced up by our defection,” adding that the event will mark the acknowledgment that “rain has fallen for the PDP in Nasarawa.”
The state party spokesman, Mark Yohanna Neto, has earlier said the president was billed for the Lafia rally to receive decampees, including Luka, Senator Solomon Ewuga (PDP, Nasarawa-North), Rep Joseph Haruna Kigbu (PDP, Lafia/Obi), Rep David Ombugadu (PDP, Akwanga/Nasarawa-Eggon/Wamba), and Rep Ishaq Kana (PDP, Keffi/Kokona/Karu), and other politicians who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) recently.
The proposed May 10 visit will be Jonathan’s fourth visit to the state since becoming president in 2010.
