The party, in a statement issued and signed by its Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Kunle Oyatomi, called on security agencies and the citizens of the state to be on red alert on the alleged planned terror attack.
The statement said the PDP had concluded plans to foment troubles with some APC leaders in some selected towns in the state.
“The plan is to clothe thugs that will be assembled by a transport kingpin
in the uniforms of both Osun Governor’s Monitoring Team (GMT) and the traffic section of O’Yes to give the impression that they were state sponsored thugs. These uniforms were said to have already been sown by Osun PDP, he said.
“The planned terror is to begin anytime after an Osun PDP chieftain would have travelled out of the country to provide an alibi, so that he will not be associated with the planned violence either.
“The PDP chieftain is scheduled to travel out of the country early this week and his trip will be the trigger for the terror attack to start,” he added.
The spokesman urged security agencies to watch out for criminals, who will be imported from neighbouring states, dressed in uniforms of Osun O’Yes and GMT officials, with a mission to create chaos and spill blood.
According to him “at no time did the leaders or members of PDP in the state hold any meeting in Ibadan or any other part of the country. The allegation was a lie and a figment of the imagination of the APC leaders.”
