Umeh, Shinkafi’s absence stalls resolution of APGA crisis

The move by the police to resolve issues surrounding who takes over the national secretariat of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) suffered setback Tuesday leading to the rescheduling of another meeting for May 22, 2014.
FCT Police Command had last week invited the
two factional leaders of the party in order to enable it resolve who takes over the party as national chairman.
In a press statement issued to newsmen yesterday in Abuja by Victor Eneh; senior special assistant on media to Okwu, said the meeting suffered setback Tuesday as Chief Victor Umeh and Sani Shinkafi were not in attendance as expected by the command.
He said the police as a result, directed the staff who came to represent the duo to come with their principals; Umeh and Shinkafi on May 22, 2014 as they are not competent to discuss the APGA leadership matter.
