Adamawa State governorship aspirant Dr
Aliyu Idi Hong said Adamawa is at a crossroads and deserves a visional
and dynamic leader like him to rescue the state, redefine politics and
democracy and put an end to the “long suffering” of the people of the
state.
The former minister of foreign affairs,
who spoke with newsmen at the PDP national secretariat where he
submitted nomination forms, said the people of the state suffered a
disconnect with the dividends of democracy and require a governor that
would guarantee human capital development and restore public confidence
in the masses.
“I have no doubt in my mind the people of Adamawa know me, they know my commitment, the party knows that I am a true party man and I also know the dynamics of Adamawa. They know my commitment, they know I am people-oriented and I have put myself forward for them to give me the support to become governor because the governorship is about somebody who will work to rescue our people because we are far left behind,” he said.
