An online media based group called Broom Platform will soon be launched to complement and help in consolidating the official campaign effort of the All Progressives Congress (APC), team leader of the group, Dr Tom Ohikere, has said.
Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, Ohikere said the Broom Platform will be formally launched at a public ceremony immediately after the presidential primary elections of the APC while active public participation will commence on the site by Friday 24th October.
He said the Broom Platform was initiated by some media inclined members of the APC and it is a debate and discussion group which shall attract millions of Nigerians daily.
“It is a social weapon in the quest for the required political orientation of Nigeria as it will on daily bases provide them with a comprehensive knowledge of issues relating to the presidential election. We shall work with other social media groups to be able to address an average of 5 million Nigerians on daily bases to further consolidate on the emanating gains from the media effort of our party’s national secretariat,” he said.
He said the anticipated victory of the APC at the forth coming presidential election is a collective responsibility of well-meaning members of the party nationwide and all hands must be on deck to properly identify and choose the best presidential material among our presidential aspirants towards unseating President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
