2003 agenda at play against me again - Osoba

Former governor of Ogun State and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olusegun Osoba, yesterday, broke his long silence on his relationship with Governor Ibikunle Amosun saying people are only out to set him up against the governor for their selfish ends.
Osoba said the allusion to a misunderstanding between him and the governor is a trick to repeat the 2003 plot used against him for  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
to win in the state.
The former governor, whose faction of the APC has been at loggerheads with the governor’s over control of party structures told party supporters at his residence that the plot was to discredit him and turn his loyal members against him.
At the well-attended gathering that paralyzed the activities of the serene government reservation estate for hours, Osoba said he would not be deterred by the scheme, saying, “It is not new to me. It is the same agenda that was used to plot against me in 2003. But this time, I am prepared for them and I want to urge you to remain resolute as you have been since 1986.”
“In 2011, the 12,000 officers we use at polling booths were given N2000 each, we know how we raised the money. It is in this compound we worked it out. How many of the 12,000 members have been catered for today. It is unfortunate that they are now blackmailing me, but, we shall stand by the truth on this matter and at all times.”
