There is no impeachment - Murtala Nyako

 

Across Adamawa State and beyond, rumours of impeachment axe dangling on the head of Governor  Murtala Nyako by the state House of Assembly is in the air; yet the supposed actors are always quick to deny the existence of such plot, when confronted with the issue.

Speculative newspaper reports and social media posts have charged the atmosphere since the defection of three members to the PDP some two weeks ago. Rumours were abound among politicians that Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio was assigned by the presidency to supervise the removal of Nyako and that N250 million had already exchanged hands.

Kano activities grounded as Alhaji Ado Bayero is buried

 

            

Activities in Kano were yesterday grounded as the remains of late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero were laid to rest at the Gidan Matan Fada royal burial ground, where his predecessors were also interred, in accordance with Islamic rites.

APC : national convention shifted to june 12

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention earlier scheduled for Friday June 13 and Saturday June 14, 2014, has now been re-scheduled for Thursday June 12 and Friday June 13.

Chairman, national convention sub-committee on media and publicity of the party, Rotimi Fashakin, stated this while briefing newsmen, Wednesday night.

The defection of former governor, Isiaka Adeleke, from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress has been described as good riddance to bad rubbish.

A statement by the Chairman, Osun PDP, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, on Wednesday, said the defection of Adeleke to the ruling APC was the “best thing ever to happen to the opposition party.”
