DISQUIET IN SOKOTO APC OVER TAMBUWAL

There is growing disquiet in the Sokoto State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the alleged attempt by Governor Aliyu Wamakko to hand over the governorship ticket of the party to House of Representatives Speaker, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Tambuwal had on Monday, attended an APC stakeholders meeting in Sokoto, indicating his reported interest to join the party.

HAMMAYO’S RESIGNATION AND THE BAUCHI GUBER RACE

The resignation of Alhaji Aminu Hammayo as secretary to the Bauchi State Government,  announced recently alongside  seven commissioners,  in order to contest for elective posts in 2015 came as a surprise.

Political parties in Nigeria lack internal democracy, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  stalwart in Kaduna State, Idris Shuaibu Mikati, has said.
Mikati who was a governorship aspirant in  the 2011 elections spoke in an interview shortly after a meeting with his 2011 political supporters and stakeholders, saying there are several cases where candidates who win primary elections are not allowed to lead as the parties overturn the wishes of the masses.
